5K Uninsured Angelenos To Receive Free Medical Services At 'CareNow LA'

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One of the most anticipated free medical clinics has returned to the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

Roughly 5,000 uninsured Angelenos will receive free medical, dental and vision services from 800 medical professionals at the CareNow LA clinic.

Thousands of people camped out for wristbands on Monday and will return for free care over the next four days.

CareNow LA provides free immunizations and screenings, including mammograms and Pap smears. Extensive patient education and counseling are also available.

The clinic will even provide free follow-up care for those who need further medical attention. CareNow LA also accepts donations and it looking for more volunteers across the Southland.
