Lohan Posts Bail After Judge Says She Violated Her Probation

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Lindsay Lohan was released on $100,000 bail Wednesday after a judge determined that the 25-year-old actress violated the terms of her probation.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sauter says Lohan violated her probation when she was booted from the downtown women’s shelter where she had been ordered to complete most of her community service.

The Los Angeles Times reports she wasn’t showing up, but TMZ says Lohan wasn’t “fulfilled” at the center and will be reassigned to the county morgue.

Lohan had been ordered to do the work after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor count of theft involving a necklace from a jewelry store in Venice.

She is on probation for both the theft and a 2007 drunk driving case.

Lohan has been doing community service daily for the American Red Cross, but Sauter says that won’t count toward her probation, which was revoked.

She is due back in court Nov. 2.

The court needs to do their job and stop providing a separate form of justice for celebrities. Linsay Loco constantly thumbs her nose up at our law and does what she wants to do as the courts allow her to.

Can’t this doggone soap opera end. This court system stinks to no end. I am sick of all this Lindsay talk. Can’t the prosecutor do his or her job and put the brakes on her freedom and put her in jail for once and for all. Why continue with all the lindsay gossip. I’m sick of it, my boyfriend is sick of it, my family is sick of it, we are ALL sick of it.

She has court ordered community service of about 480 hours and has only done 21 hours since May, failing or refusing to show up and essentially getting fired. However she had no problem showing up at Bill Clinton’s birthday party and grabbing some headlines… This is where this worthless tramps priorities lie. It’s clear the court system has given her considerable (albeit unjustified) leniency and yet she flaunts her total disregard for the system and has made a mockery of it. It’s time to put her into the general population of the jail system and see just how much leniency her fellow inmates will give her.

Actually, the bail payout is 10%. It is set as a promise to appear while free. I to wish “Celebrity” stories would stop. But mindless people clamor for the latest gossip. Don’t worry, the human world doesn’t have much time left. Soon the animals will get nature back. We humans were a real genetic monster.

I loved Lindsay’s facial expression when the Judge told the bailiff to take her into immediate custody….priceless! Unfortunately, as Charlie L stated, she’ll be out in no time. If I read Lindsay’s lips right, as she stood up she told her attorney to “fix this”.

she’ll never get it, she needs to be locked up for about 4 years. That should sober her up before she’s 30 or the 30 year old hag. How about till she’s say 50, then she can’t leave any babies behind to grow up like her.

At what point in the US court system (when you are guilty as she is for violating probation) can you NOT pay money to get out of jail? How is this fair? So, if you are poor, you stay in jail if you are guilty… but if you are rich you get out of jail when you are guilty?. I don’t get this at all. At what point are you soooo guilty that money won’t get you out?

You are all crazy. Our jails need to be a place to keep violent criminals, so that they won’t be out here killing, raping, molesting, hurting . . . the punishment should fit the crime. Lindsay should be ordered to pay the state a very large fine, as well a percentage penalty taken from her paychecks for 7 years. We’d be saving money on court costs, and actually making the state more financially secure. Think about it. Jails should be there to protect us . . . Lindsay is not going to hurt any of you, but the guys we are letting out because we waste too much mney jailing non-violents, WILL.
