2 Arizona Men Arrested In Connection With Brutal Beating In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Two Arizona men have been arrested in connection with a brutal attack last month in Santa Monica.

Police say security video from the Sept. 22, attack shows the men walking away around the time of a beating outside a Santa Monica bar. The incident occurred about 2:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.

The victim, identified as a 45-year-old man in the movie industry, was out for a workout at the time and was carrying hand weights.

Police say the suspects used the weights to beat him, causing his skull to collapse and bleeding in his brain.

Bryan Hale, 24, and 25-year-old Brett Davis were booked on attempted murder charges.

Police say the men were in Los Angeles doing work for a moving company.
