Hemet Man Behind Bars On Suspicion Of Killing Coworker

SAN JACINTO (CBS) — A Hemet man was behind bars after his coworker was found dead outside a business in San Jacinto, the sheriff's department said.

The discovery was made about 8:27 a.m. Friday outside in a small office park in the 1600 block of South Santa Fe Street at Esplanade Avenue, according to sheriff's Sgt. Brian Reno.

The victim was identified by authorities as 48-year-old Theron Brison. His cause of death has yet to be determined.

Investigators cordoned off the area Friday while conducting an investigation. They later arrested 37-year-old Zahid Sardar Masih, but did not release any details about the crime.

Masih was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of murder and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, jail records show.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Central Homicide Unit at (951) 955-2777 or the San Jacinto Police Department at (951) 791-3400.
