3 Dead, 4 Injured After Boat Collides With Sea-Doo Jet Ski In San Dimas

SAN DIMAS (CBS) — A collision between a boat and a sea-doo water craft Saturday afternoon left three people dead and four injured, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at Puddingstone Reservoir at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas around 4:30 p.m.

The three deceased, all females riding the sea-doo, were declared dead at the scene.

(UPDATE: 8:30 p.m.): Late Sunday, the Coroner identified the three deceased women as Aurora Yeso, 53; Anesia Bautista, 47 and Maricon Abello, 34. Investigators have also determined that the driver of the 21-foot boat was not intoxicated. It is still not known if the woman piloting the sea-doo was intoxicated.

The four occupants of the boat — three males and one female — were reportedly taken to area hospitals with moderate to minor injuries.

Homicide detectives, working in conjunction with an Accident Recreation Specialist from the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation, will attempt to recreate the accident to determine the cause.

So sorry for these folks and those who loved and will miss them. Safe boating is every boat or vessel drivers responsibility – if you haven’t already done so – take a safe boating class – they are FREE from the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Our hearts go out to you.

My thought and prayers are with the victims family and friends. May God bring comfort and strength during this very difficult time.

    Slow down..

Very sad…I never went to this lake on a busy day. On busy days it would be crazy! with all the boaters around you, like a big bath-tub. I do remember seeing the life guard boat team always chasing boaters down for not following the rules. This accident does not surprise me. Peace & Comfort to the families.

If people don not value their lives then why should we, they are the ones that put others in danger. You people (no doubt bleeding heart liberals) enough of all this sympathy and prayers for people who are stuck on stupid, god has better things to take care of.

No doubt these people will receive some honorable mention in the Darwin Adwards hall of Fame.
