LANCASTER (CBS) — One person was killed Friday evening when their car overturned near Lancaster.
The single-car crash occurred about 7:50 p.m. on 10th Street East just north of Avenue G, California Highway Patrol Officer Anthony Martin said.
“We don’t yet know if the person was male or female or what kind of vehicle was involved because our units are still at the scene,” Martin said.
“The victim, who may have been ejected when the vehicle overturned, was pronounced dead at the scene and the coroner responded to the location.”
The CHP death investigation was still ongoing as of 10:30 p.m., Martin said. The investigation was being handled by the CHP’s Antelope Valley Office, Martin said.
