Free Flu Shots Being Offered To Kids In South Bay Area

GARDENA (CBS) - It's that time of year -- flu season is upon us.

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers in Torrance and San Pedro are bringing free flue vaccines to children at their schools through its Partners for Healthy Kids Program.

A mobile medical van regularly visits eight elementary schools in the South Bay area and now is offering its flu vaccine freebie.

The Partners For Healthy Kids Mobile Medical van makes regular stops to schools in San Pedro, Wilmington, Lawndale, and Gardena offering free medical care to those without insurance or who are in need.

You can find the van at these locations at the following times:

Every Tuesday - Barton Hill School, 423 N. Pacific Ave., San Pedro, 8:30 - 11:30am

Every Wednesday - 135th Street School, 801 W. 135th St., Gardena, 8:30am - 4pm

Every Thursday - William Anderson/Will Rogers Schools, 4110 W. 154th St., Lawndale, 8:30 - 11:30am; Kit Carson School, 3530 West 147th St., Hawthorne, 12:30 - 4pm

Every Friday - Hawaiian Avenue School, 540 Hawaiian Ave., Wilmington, 8:30am - 1:30pm; Wilmington Park School, 1140 Mahar St., Wilmington, 1 - 4pm

First & Third Tuesday - 15th Street School, 1527 Mesa St., San Pedro, 1 - 4pm

Second & Third Tuesday - Gulf Avenue School, 828 W L St., Wilmington, 1 - 4pm
