Driver Injured In Car-To-Car Shooting On 210 Freeway

REDLANDS (CBS) — Authorities are investigating a car-to-car shooting on the 210 Freeway through San Bernardino County.

As KNX 1070's Mike Landa reports,the shooting happened on the westbound 210 near San Bernardino Avenue around 11 p.m. Monday.

A man driving a white Toyota pick-up truck was pulled over on the side of the freeway when he was approached by another motorist, according to Redlands police. At least one shot was fired, inuring the disabled driver.

The 42-year-old victim underwent surgery and is hospitalized in stable condition. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

No arrests have been made. Authorities are looking for a maroon or dark red 4-door 2010 Ford Focus or Chevy Cruze with a rear tinted window.

The California Highway Patrol says they don't believe the incident is related to a rash of freeway robberies last month that targeted stranded freeway motorists.
