Behind The New Music Of The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) is considered one of the nation's premier orchestras as well as a leader in presenting wide-ranging repertoire and adventurous commissions of new music.

LA Chamber Orchestra's Rachel Fine and Margaret Batjer stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to talk about new programs.

The new program features guest soloist Karina Gauvin, an internationally renowned soprano, who performs a piece by Benjamin Britten set to the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, who has influenced such rock legends as Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison and Patti Smith. The concert also features major works by Beethoven and Dvorak.

In November, LACO performs the beloved Brandenburg Concertos, which is always an audience favorite. Tickets are as low as $24.
