Man Fatally Shot Outside Hollywood Club

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A shooting outside of a Hollywood club Sunday left a young man dead.

The incident near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue occurred about 2:30 a.m. and police detained several people for questioning, Los Angeles police Sgt. Raul Jovel said.

The victim was shot three times in his upper torso, according to Jovel. He was transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to authorities, several people witnessed the attack.

Late Sunday, the deceased was identified as Jesse Medina of Hollywood.

Police also announced they arrested a suspect in the murder. The suspect's name was withheld.
