Caltech’s Male Water Polo Team Breaks 9-Year Losing Streak

PASADENA (CBS) — What a week, what a week!
Caltech is basking in worldwide attention, as its male water polo team broke a nine-year losing streak by beating Connecticut College 10-9, the school reported Saturday.
The Caltech Beavers scored their first win since Oct. 5, 2002, the school reported on its web site.
Caltech was also recognized last week as the world’s top university by a prestigious British education review journal, displacing Harvard from the number one spot for the first time in 8 years.
The British journalists apparently did not take Caltech’s athletic prowess into account.
