2 Men Wanted For Questioning In String Of Sylmar Burglary Attempts

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police on Monday asked for the public's help in identifying two men that may have information on a series of residential burglaries in Sylmar.

A neighbor interrupted one of the burglary attempts on June 16 about 11 a.m. in the 13800 block of Shablow Avenue, said LAPD Detective Donald Goossens of the Mission Station. The other burglaries were in the same general area.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man about 20-25 years old, 5'9" and weighing 165 pounds, with black hair.

The security photo depicts two men occupying a 1997 black four-door Cadillac Seville with license number 4YAG221. The paint on the roof is discolored.

Police believe the car was used one or more burglaries, but its occupants may or may not have been involved, Goossens said.

"If you see the car or the suspects, please call 911," Goossens said. "Do not attempt to contact the suspects."

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Mission Station burglary detectives at (818) 838-9918; the Mission Station desk, (818) 838-9800; or Crimestoppers, (800) 222-TIPS.
