KNX 1070's Mike Landa reports.

The doctors will tell the court on Nov. 18 whether she is able to assist in her defense.

The 31-year-old has been in custody since her arrest on Aug. 22.

Hermosillo's husband says his wife suffers from post-partum depression and was distraught that their son had a medical condition that required him to wear a helmet.

Prosecutors say Hermosillo removed the helmet before tossing the baby off the parking structure at the Children's Hospital of Orange County.
