1 Found Dead, 1 Injured In Car That May Have Gone Down Embankment 6 Days Ago

CASTAIC (CBS) — One person was found dead and another injured in two separate cars found over an embankment in the Angeles National Forest.

County firefighters received a call about about 6:15 p.m. and dispatched a helicopter to the scene.

The accident scene is reportedly 1 and 1/2 miles south of the Warm Springs Addiction Treatment Center in the 38200 block of Lake Hughes Road.

It is unclear if the two cars were involved in the same accident.

According to Mark Savage, county fire inspector, the car with the injured man was reportedly found by family members who had reported their father  missing as many as six days ago.
