TORRANCE (CBS) — An 18-year-old Lomita man and two 17-year-old friends were arrested Monday for smashing more than 30 windows on vehicles, businesses and homes in the Torrance and Lomita areas.

The suspects are all students at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance and are suspected of using wrist rocket slingshots to shoot marbles or ball bearings at the windows, causing $5,000 to $10,000 in damage.

Police identified the 18-year-old suspect as Cody Lunde of Lomita.

The names of the juveniles were not released because of their age.

All three were arrested Friday on suspicion of felony vandalism.
