Firefighters Use Jaws of Life In Universal City Wreck

UNIVERSAL CITY (CBS) — Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free a motorist who crashed into a pole at the employee entrance of  Universal Studios.

The wreck at Barham Boulevard and Lakeside Plaza Drive occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday, said a Los Angeles police Officer with the Valley Traffic Division.

According to authorities, the driver was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
