'Aggressive' Probe Underway After LAFD Fire Trucks Spotted In Porn Videos

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Fire officials said Thursday an investigation is ongoing into how city fire trucks wound up in pornographic video productions in two separate Los Angeles locations.

KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou reports the investigation comes after a TV investigative report showed video of an actress posing on a rig from station 63 in Venice on Venice Beach and exposing herself.

Another truck from Station 41 in Hollywood was also spotted in another video.

Captain Tino Haro with L.A. City Fire said the Professional Standards division has been conducting an "aggressive and active" investigation into the matter for as long as five months and since no film permits or other documentation can be linked to the shoot, officials are looking for other clues.

"Was it something that somebody who was responsible for the rig as far as an LAFD member would know that this was going on, or why the rig was left unattended if they weren't aware of it," said Haro.

Some of the issues being looked into include who was responsible for parking the rigs and maintaining security around them, as well as whether any LAFD personnel participated in the video shoots.

No indication has been given on when the investigation will be completed.
