Tony Bennett Apologizes For Suggesting U.S. Provoked 9/11 Attacks

NEW YORK (AP) — Tony Bennett says he’s sorry for suggesting the United States provoked the 9/11 attacks.

Bennett said Wednesday that he was only expressing his feelings as a pacifist when he said the United States caused the 9/11 attacks by bombing people. He made the comments during an interview on Howard Stern’s radio show Tuesday.

Bennett issued a written statement saying there is no excuse for terrorism and the killing of innocent people in the attacks.

Bennett said that he is a proud World War II veteran, but that his experiences in war and marching with Martin Luther King Jr. had led him believe that violence begets violence.

Him and his career is washed up. Even when he was going good, anybody can talk a song instead of singing.

In other words … I shouldn’t have said how I really feel about 9/11 while trying to sell my latest CD. Darnit, the backlash is going to cost me sales….

Violence begets violence only in narrowminded savages. Civilized people resort to violence to protect themselves.

While its nice to believe in pacifism, Bennett was way out of line here.,

Tony, thanks for your work with Dr. King. The terrorism he faced was truly uncivilized. Thanks again

Is it not well-known by now by all that GW was actively involved in this, and it was bombs that had been set off that eventually brought the towers down?
Pretty common knowledge at this point, folks. Time to stop being naive (and.or ignorant).

Recall our troops from all 122 countries we have bases in. Wake up and smell the empire. At some point soon we will not be able to afford this. just like every other country in history that has tried and failed.
