Dodger Wives Donate Close To $10K In Goods To Social Service Agency

LOS ANGELES (CBS) - A group of Dodger Wives visited St. Anne's, a social service agency in Silverlake, Tuesday morning, donating close to $10,000 worth of household goods and baby products.

St. Anne's, one of Southern California's most highly regarded nonprofit social service agencies, works with at-risk young women, children and families.

Maggie Ethier, Tiffany Billingsley, Cindy Ellis, Aurielle Lindblom and Ellen Kershaw made the donation, on behalf of all of this year's Dodger Wives.

"We're overwhelmed by the amazing display of generosity that the Dodger Wives have shown the young moms and children of St. Anne's," said Cathy Galarneau, Vice President of Development at St. Anne's. "Their concern for those that we serve is extremely heartwarming, and very much appreciated. They've definitely put smiles on the faces of the young women whose lives they have touched through their incredible acts of kindness."

Founded in 1908 as a safe refuge for pregnant, unwed young women, St. Anne's has since evolved, providing programs, support, and long-term solutions to struggling individuals throughout Los Angeles County.

Dodger Wives, including Abbie Blake, Dejie Guerrier, Mari MacDougal, Tiffany Billingsley, Maggie Ethier, and Kim Carroll, were impressed with St. Anne's on a tour they took of the organization earlier this season and wanted to get involved.

Together they helped donate items such as dishes, glasses, silverware, hampers, diapers, baby wipes and more. A Foundation for Kids, which supports children's agencies and youth organizations that serve abused and at-risk children in Southern California, also helped in donating various items of need to St. Anne's.

A Foundation for Kids also partnered with the Dodger Wives in August, hosting a back-to-school event at Dodger Stadium for approximately 150 children from the East Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club.

The event was hosted by Maggie Ethier, Tiffany Billingsley, Cindy Ellis, Ellen Kershaw and Tim and Lori Wallach. Each child received a backpack, lunch box, school supplies, a pair of sneakers and clothing items.

Several of the Dodger Wives also hosted a group of young women and children from St. Anne's at last Friday's game against the Pirates.
