Barbershop Owner Found Slain Behind His Pasadena Shop

PASADENA (CBS)  — The body of a barbershop owner was found early Wednesday morning behind his Pasadena shop.

Officers received a call around 12:45 a.m. about a man's body being found behind King Kings Barber & Beauty in the 900 block of East Washington Boulevard, police said.

The body was later identified as shop owner King King, 43. Reports from the scene said that King had been shot.

But Lt. Phlunte Riddle of the Pasadena Police Department said the coroner's office would officially determine how the man died.

Riddle said four people were detained in the 900 block of Catalina Avenue, about a block and a half away from the barbershop. It was not immediately clear if any of the people were actually arrested in connection with the man's death.
