SOUTH GATE (CBS) — Authorities are searching for the gunman in a deadly car-to-car shooting in South Gate.

The driver of a U-Haul truck died after being shot in the head just after 12 a.m. Tuesday in the 9700 block of San Gabriel Avenue.

The truck then slammed through a fence and into an apartment carport at the corner of San Gabriel and Missouri avenues.

Investigators haven’t said what led to the shooting, or if it was drug- or gang-related.

The victim’s name has not been released.
