Man Gunned Down At Stepdaughter’s Birthday Party In Watts

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police Sunday said a man was gunned down at his stepdaughter’s birthday party after apparently asking guests to stop flashing gang signs.

The shooting in the 9900 block of Anzac Avenue occurred about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Duane Kelliher.

According to Kelliher, the 51-year-old victim was hosting a birthday celebration for his 18-year-old stepdaughter.

“Some guests showed up and we’re flashing gang signs. They were asked to leave. There was a shooting,” Kelliher said. “At least two people have been arrested and are now being questioned.”

The victim, whose name has not been released, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

Note To Californians: You Cannot Have A Normal LIfe. You Cannot Pursue Happiness. The Gang Bangers Have No Conscience. If You Confront Them, They WIll Kill You. If You Call The Police, They Will Organize A Drive By Shooting And Kill Someone.

This Is All Thanks To The Liberal Politicians You Continue To Vote For. They Are Soft On Criminals, Prefering To “Reform” Them. They Hate The Fact That We Have A Border, Because They Want Us All To Live As One ‘Peaceful’ Planet, Except That Gangsters Unfortunately Don’t Have The Same Desire.

Stop blaming “liberal” politicians for the gang problem; your claims are absurd. Look at countries like Brazil or El Salvador, where their right-wing “mano dura” policing tactics give cops near carte blanche to execute gangsters on the spot, and there’s still a huge gang problem in those countries. But since you’re blaming politicians, why not blame all the conservative politicians who refuse to fund any kind of birth-control or family-planning efforts, and who insist on abstinence-only programs? Perhaps if there were more family planning and access to contraception in poor communities, there wouldn’t be so many unwanted children who grow up and turn into street terrorists. Oh, and by the way, please learn to use capital letters correctly. Your post resembles a ransom letter.

as long as you can read it , thats all you need.

Wow, Darrell, you sure set high standards for yourself.

(Oh, by the way, that statement was an example of sarcasm. Look it up. The first letter, S, comes after the letter R in the alphabet.)

alpha we dont need birth control or family planning class we need class’ to teach people who cant afford kids to control their urges its quite simple to me if you can not afford the outcome then dont do the act

    • Alpha Kenny Juan

Sheila, I don’t know about you, but my urges don’t go away because I sit in a class and listen to someone lecture me. (I mean, come on, read my screen name a few times fast.) In my opinion, people need access to family-planning and reliable birth control – and fathers need to be held responsible for the well-being and financial support of their kids, whether or not the mother decides to pursue them for $$. That wouldn’t solve the gang problem, but it might have an impact on the issue.
