Police Hunt For Man Suspected In South LA Mini Market Robbery

LOS ANGELES (CBS) —Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department's Newton Division are hoping the release of surveillance video will help them capture a man suspected of robbing a South Los Angeles mini market last month.

The incident occurred about 4:55 p.m. on Aug. 12, in the 5900 block of South San Pedro Street.

According to authorities, the man entered the store, pulled out a sawed off shotgun and pointed it at the cashier while demanding money.

He then took off with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect, believed to be a 35-year-old Hispanic male, is 5'5" and weighs between 190 to 210 pounds.
