Neighbor's Call Leads To Arrest Of 2 Suspected Burglars In Hemet

HEMET (CBS) — Police Saturday said a watchful neighbor's phone call led to the arrest of two juveniles suspected in a break-in and burglary of a home in Hemet.

Hemet police received a call regarding two minors acting suspiciously near a home in the 900 block of Ivy Avenue about 4:37 p.m. Friday, Lt. Eric Dickson said.

"The caller was able to provide a description of the subjects, and within minutes Hemet police officers arrived in the area," Dickson said. "One subject was detained a short distance from the residence and the second subject tried to flee but was apprehended a short distance away."

Dickson said that property taken from the home has been returned to the owner.

The suspects' names were withheld because of their ages.
