Emmy Nominees Gear Up For TV’s Biggest Night
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — It’s Emmy-time in Los Angeles and on Friday, the stars worked the red carpet at the Academy’s annual cocktail celebration.
“It makes your heart swell and it’s just so great to be here with my friends and my peers,” Michelle Forbes told CBS2.
Inside the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, a rustic and warm scene set for the party. Rich gold and rust tones, circular lounges where the nominees can catch up.
“It’s great fun because it’s everybody that’s in the same boat that you’re in,” Emmy nominee Alfre Woodard said. “And so, in the midst of getting snatched and tucked, spit and shined, polished, you’re with people that are just actors.”
And there’s lots of primping for television’s big night.
Suzanne Marques, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, asked the stars how they plan to prepare for Sunday.
“I honestly try not to think about it. I try to just relax and you know, have fun and be in the moment,” Seth Green said.
“I start with a shower and I grab a suit and get out the door. It’s pretty easy,” Matt LeBlanc said.
Friday’s event was just the beginning of a packed, fun-filled celebratory weekend in anticipation of the 63rd annual Academy of Television & Arts awards.
