SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — Federal agents raided multiple homes and businesses in San Bernardino County on Friday, but the agencies involved are keeping quiet as to why the raids were carried out.

KNX 1070′s Bob Brill reports he FBI and the IRS raided nine locations in five separate cities.

The raids are likely related to San Bernardino County’s $102 million settlement with Developer Colonies Partners.

Local authorities allege the settlement was obtained through bribery and extortion. A state prosecution is currently ongoing.

Several of the targeted locations belonged to people with ties to former county supervisors.

A home and businesses owned by former GOP State Senator Jim Brulte were among the properties searched for federal officials, but Brulte has not been charged with any crime.

Computers were seized at many locations and while little is known about the case, IRS involvement means that tax issues are likely at the heart of the federal probe.

“A home and businesses owned by former GOP State Senator Jim Brulte were among the properties searched for federal officials…”

Did they find any federal officials lurking in any of the searched properties? Jeez, CBS, is this the best your writers can do?

The FBI and DEA fabricate evidence, steal from suspects and use murder to close those bad cases.
How is it that 12 of the 9/11 terrorists could live for 2 weeks just 2 miles from NSA head quarters in Maryland.
This after several of them had taken flight simulator lessons on Jumbo jet trainers and several of them where on State department terror watch lists.
There is evidence that employees from DoD, CIA and DOJ accepted bribes from Al Quida.
If DoJ and DoD employees where more concerned with doing their jobs than enriching themselves by stealing from suspects and taking bribes, then there might have been more a chance that 9/11 had never happened.
