Shooting himself wasn’t enough, he had to make sure he would really die and jeopardize the neighbors’ homes. Selfish. Takes away from those who really struggle with suicide.

Excuse me?? how does this “take away” from people “really” struggle with suiside? if your going to do it then your going to do it reguardless.

If it was me, i’d commit suicide first, then set fire to the house

It would be nice if people would be somewhat sensitive and think that regardless of what you may be thinking this is someone’s loved one and they may read this which happens to be the case here. Also, most people don’t grow up thinking they will end up taking their own life one day. This is my first cousin who I was very close to, he was also my best man in my wedding.

Brent, I’m sorry for your loss, but you should know better than to come to an unmonitored comment board filled with anonymous posters (such as myself) if the humorous and tasteless comments are going to offend you. Why would you get offended by anything that someone named Alpha Kenny Juan says? Alpha Kenny Juan, folks. Say it a few times fast.

      • what a weirdo

Brent, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have been praying for your family all afternoon. I live only a few blocks away and it breaks my heart to know that a neighbor had lost all hope. May God be with you and your family as you mourn this tragedy.

This was a dear friend of mine. None of you know the turmoil he was feeling that made him do this terrible thing. I know that he had a family that he loved. I just wish he would have reached out to me! I love you my friend.

Bret- Im sorry for your loss. people are going to be cruel, but no one except the poepl who knew him should be saying anything about how “selfish” this man is. Im sure he was a loving husban, fauther, cousin and friend. Sometimes once something is in someones head there isnt any way to make them see clear. Im praying for your family and just know that people who dont know him are going to say things.. dont let it get to you becasue your hus ocusin. you kow the true man he was. God Bless.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern. This is tearing up my heart and the rest of the family as well. I know this is a free speech forum, I wasn’t looking to fight with anyone, I don’t live in California and was just trying to get as much info as possible. When I was reading the article I saw that there were comments so I read them and was a little upset by what people who I’d suspect really don’t have any idea to what was going on were saying.

Brent, I was up most of the night with a broken heart. Your cousin was a dear friend of mine he was a wonderful person. I pray for his family, I know he loved his family dearly. The only way I can deal with this at all is to believe he is no longer suffering from the demons that made him do this. I know he was a man of god and that the lord has forgiven him and has welcomed him into his kingdom.

  • Brent

Thanks again. Cyndie I hope I get to meet and talk to you some time because I would love to hear from someone who knew about the spiritual part of his life because unfortunately for whatever reason I didn’t. That would help me out a lot in this whole thing. I’m waiting to hear what the plans are so that I can possibly come there.
