SANTA ANA (CBS) — The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Orange County as a storm cell came ashore.
The warning was issued about 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The storm was expected to affect Westminster, Tustin, Stanton, Seal Beach, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, Costa Mesa and Anaheim.
Doppler radar showed that the storm is capable of producing damaging winds of 60 mph or more and quarter-sized hail.
