5th Alleged Victim Steps Forward To Identify Suspected Flasher

WESTMINSTER (CBS) — A fifth alleged victim has come forward to identify a 20-year-old Santa Ana man accused of exposing himself to four other teenage girls near Orange County high schools.

Prosecutors said John Rodriguez was arrested August 19 and charged with several counts related to the other alleged victims.

Rodriguez will be arraigned Friday.

A new charge alleges he exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl as she was walking to Valley High School in Santa Ana eight days before his arrest.

Prosecutors originally accused Rodriguez of exposing himself to a 15-year-old girl on Jan. 25, to two sisters, 17 years old and 14 years old, on Feb. 18, and to an 18-year-old girl on Aug. 16. All four of the girls were walking to high schools.

According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, if Rodriguez is convicted on the felony counts of attempted sexual battery, the five misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and four misdemeanor counts of child annoyance, he faces up to five years and six months in prison.

He is being held on $200,000 bail.
