3 Killed, Baby Found Bound And Gagged At Banning Home

BANNING (CBS) — Police made a deadly discovery at a home in Banning, where three adults were found murdered.

Investigators found the bodies at a home at 125 N. Phillips Street around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A two-year-old child was initially feared missing, but was found several hours later, bound and gagged inside the home, according to police. The child was taken to San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was treated for dehydration and hunger.

"My son was laying on the floor, he was found shot in the head," said Purvis Hunt, the father of one of the victims.

Hunt said his son Demetrius Hunt, 42, is one of the victims and the toddler's father.

Two women were also found dead and neighbors say they are the child's mother and a family friend.

Purvis Hunt said he suspects the murders were drug-related because his son was a drug dealer and he sold "dope" out of this home.

Police said they have not established a motive for the murders. They hope that the victims' young son, and only eyewitness to the murders, can eventually help them in their investigation.
