Escalade Motorist Shot In The Head Driving Through Cahuenga Pass

UNIVERSAL CITY (CBS) — A motorist was shot in the head while driving through the Cahuenga Pass early Saturday morning.

The driver, in a white Cadillac Escalade, was able to get to a Mobil Station on Barham Boulevard and seek help.

Officials said the shooting occurred just after 3:30 a.m.

According to a Los Angeles Police Officer at the North Hollywood station, paramedics were able to take the man to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition.

The victim was able to tell police that the shooter was likely in a black sport utility vehicle, possibly another Escalade or Chevy Suburban. But police said the victim gave several conflicting accounts and appeared to be in shock.

Police withheld the wounded man's name but said he was believed to be thirty-something.
