LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An NBC4 news van caught fire on the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 10:37 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Getty Center.
Pictures uploaded to Twitter show the van’s engine consumed with flames.
The news crew inside the van was reportedly safe.
The van wasn’t blocking the freeway and the California Highway Patrol says there will be no lane closures. However, traffic was backing up just after 11 a.m.
It’s unknown what caused the fire.
