SANTA MONICA (CBS) — Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who they are calling “armed and dangerous” after he robbed a 7-Eleven store on Wilshire early Friday morning.
Authorities say an African-American male robbed the store in the 11650 block of Wilshire Boulevard around 2:15 a.m. The suspect pointed a gun at two customers inside the store, ordered them to the ground and demanded money from an employee behind the cash register, Los Angeles police officials said.
The suspect then fled the store with an unknown amount of money in a blue bag.
Surveillance video caught the robbery on camera. The suspect appears to be 20-to-25-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, officials said.
The suspect was last seen wearing all black, including a black ski mask.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call West Los Angeles Area Robbery Detectives at (310) 444-1520.
