Male Nursing Assistant, 45, Accused Of Groping 3 Female Teen Trainees

SANTA ANA — Officials say a male nursing assistant is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of groping three female students he was training.

Alfredo Fernandez Gonzalez, 45, of Orange, is charged with three misdemeanor counts of sexual battery, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Gonzalez, a certified nursing assistant who trained nursing students at Park West Care and Rehabilitation Center at 2210 E. First St. in in Santa Ana, allegedly groped the students -- who are 17 and 18 years old -- between March 8 and May 4.

According to authorities, Gonzalez is also accused of hugging and kissing the three, and allegedly talked about dating them while flattering them about how they looked.

Gonzalez, who has also worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, could face up to three years in prison if convicted. Prosecutors will request $30,000 bail at Friday's arraignment.
