STUDIO CITY (CBS) — We will have to contend with extreme temperatures for one more day, but lower humidity levels will help with the heat index.
There is less of a chance for afternoon thunderstorms Monday. Instead, we may just see some cumulus cloud build-up over our mountains and deserts.
Valley temperatures will still hover in the low 100s. As we progress through the week, look for some gradual cooling as the on-shore flow strengthens.
We will see the return of the marine layer by the middle of the week.
There appears to be some warming for Labor Day weekend.
Otherwise, the rest of the forecast looks near average for this time of year.
Coastal – upper 70s
Basin – low 90s
Valleys – around 100 to 104
Mountains – mid 80s
Deserts – around 107 to 110
