Deputies Arrest Suspect In Red Line Fatal Stabbing
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect in connection with the stabbing death of a passenger during a fight on a Red Line train in Hollywood on Friday, the sheriff's department reported Wednesday.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Gene Sim Tuesday night in Buena Park. He is described as a transient and was arrested without incident, the department said.

Jesse Garay, 59, was stabbed after a fight with Sim around 7:30 p.m. Friday while on the Red Line that had stopped at LA Metro's Hollywood/Vine Station.
Garay, of North Hollywood, died of his injuries. It was the first ever death on any Los Angeles subway line.
Sim was booked on a probation violation and is being held without bail. Officials say murder charges against him are pending.
Sheriff's officials say the investigation is ongoing.
