Woman, 35, Killed In Crash On The 10 Freeway In West Covina

WEST COVINA (CBS) — A 35-year-old Inglewood woman was killed early Sunday in a crash on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway.

The other people were injured in the crash that was reported just after 1:10 a.m.

Officials said Karen Roxana Ancheta was traveling west in a grey Ford Focus when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a center median.

A CHP officer said Ancheta got out of her car, which was blocking the far left lane, and stood next to the vehicle.

A white Ford Explorer, driven by 24-year-old Rene Espinal, struck the rear of the Focus and then veered left.

The crash reportedly sent the Focus into the two far right lanes. When the Focus veered left, it struck Ancheta propelling her into the center median. She died at the scene.
