Construction Worker Injured In LAX Fall
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A construction worker was injured Saturday after a fall at LAX, according to authorities.
The fall occurred inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
The worker's condition is not immediately known by fire dispatchers who were called to the scene.
Fire department spokesperson Erik Scott believed the worker was injured at the large construction project for the Bradley Terminal's expansion.
Paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene just before 7 a.m.
Scott said paramedics rushed at least one person to an area hospital before reporting the incident to Cal/OSHA.
The $1.55 billion expansion began this past February and is LAX's largest renovation. It is expected to be completed in 2013.
