Woman Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For Running Down CSUN Student
SAN FERNANDO (CBS) — A 45-year-old woman was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison for running down a Cal State Northridge student on a crosswalk and fleeing the scene.
Marcia Matt Roberts pleaded no contest earlier this month to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated for the death of 19-year-old Johoney Lobos in September 2008.
Lobos was run down while on a crosswalk in the 10300 block of North Lindley Avenue on Sept. 23, 2008.
The white SUV that struck Lobos was found later near Devonshire Street and Reseda Boulevard.
Roberts was arrested that night and has remained in jail ever since.
