LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Twenty homes were without service early Sunday after a 6-inch water main ruptured in the Mid-City area overnight.
The break under the 1700 block of South Ridgely Drive was reported about 1:40 a.m., Los Angeles Department of Water spokeswoman Maychelle Yee said. A crew was expected to start repairs around daybreak.
Separately on Saturday, a 2-inch water line broke under the 2600 block of South La Brea Avenue, interrupting service to two customers and prompting authorities to close one lane to accommodate repairs, Yee said.
That break was repaired by early Sunday, she said.
