DA Won't File Charges Against Accused Stow Beating Accomplice

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The District Attorney's Office has decided not to file charges against Dorene Sanchez, who was initially arrested with the two suspects in the beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow at Dodger Stadium on opening day.

Spokeswoman Jane Robison says prosecutors determined there was "insufficient evidence to prove that she was an accessory" to the beating.

Sanchez was released on bail shortly after her July 21 arrest.

Her brother, Louie Sanchez, and fellow suspect Marvin Norwood, who is reportedly dating Sanchez, both pleaded not guilty to mayhem, assault, battery and other counts Wednesday morning in a downtown courtroom.

Prosecutors are relying on Dorene Sanchez's grand jury testimony regarding Norwood and Sanchez's involvement in the opening day attack on Stow.

Both men are being held on $500,000 bail and will return to court on Sept. 30.
