STUDIO CITY (CBS) — It’s the most wonderful, yet costly, time of the year for parents…it’s back to school!
Claudia Lombana from Paypal visited the KCAL 9 studios Monday to talk about school supply discounts. The back-to-school season is the second-largest shopping period in the U.S. With its official kick of this month, it runs through Labor Day in early September.
According to the National Retail Federation, , families with children in grades K-12 will spend an average of $603.63 on apparel, school supplies and electronics. For families with college students that figure is $808.71. Total spending on grades K-12 AND for college students is expected to be $68.8 billion.
