Nearly 1,000 Customers Lose Power In Marina Del Rey

MARINA DEL REY (CBS) — A power outage that left nearly 1,000 customers in the dark in Marina del Rey is over.

Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Klein says equipment on a power pole failed shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, leaving 985 customers in the marina area in the dark. Klein says there was no explosion.

Crews restored partial service within about 90 minutes and restored nearly all service by about 5:30 a.m., according to authorities. By 11 a.m., only one customer was still without service.
