VALENCIA (CBS) — Authorities have released the names of three people who were killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Valencia.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators say 64-year-old Martin Strassner, 90-year-old Jean Moss and 95-year-old Leo Moss were found dead inside a parked vehicle.

Strassner allegedly killed his in-laws inside his car before turning the gun on himself.

Investigators say he left a note behind, but they aren’t revealing a motive behind the shootings.

Detectives say Strassner’s wife heard the shots inside their home Friday afternoon and called 911.

Strassner was a retired dentist.

He suffered from severe depression and his in-laws ailing health were extremely stressful on the family. It appears that he felt this was the only way to help his family. It is absolutely unforgivable and he has left his family in a horrible situation, but who knows what happens in their mind when someone who is already depressed just snaps. Such a sad, horrible story. May his family get the answers they need and deserve and may they find peace.
