Police Shoo Away Bear Spotted In Backyard Of Arcadia Home

ARCADIA (CBS) — Police shooed away a bear that was spotted in the backyard of an Arcadia home, authorities said Saturday.

The bear was reported about 10 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Canyon Road, Arcadia police Lt. Bob Anderson said.

"The bears come down looking for food," Anderson said. "It happens this time of year -- summertime and early winter."

Luckily, no one was hurt.

On Thursday, a mountain lion was spotted in Burbank, bounding over an 8-foot fence along Woodstock Lane in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains.
