Honda Recalls 2.5M Vehicles, Including Accord Sedan

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Honda is recalling nearly 2.5 million vehicles, including its popular Accord sedan.

Many of the affected models are small SUVs and minivans, as well as the Accord.

The company says it needs to repair a software problem that could damage the automatic transmission.

About 1.5 million vehicles are in the United States, while the rest are in China and Canada.

Some leading industry analysts are asking if this is a symptom of a larger problem with the automaker.

Honda says no deaths or injuries have been reported as a result of the problem.
