(CBS) – The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to promote 21-year-old Nate Eovaldi for Saturday’s start in Arizona against the Diamondbacks.
Eovaldi will take Rubby De La Rosa’s place in the starting rotation, De La Rosa is out for a minumum nine months after Tommy John surgery, the same surgery Eovaldi had in high school.
Eovaldi has an ERA of 2.62 in Double-A Chattanooga.
