6 Nabbed In Drug Bust At Fake Pot Clinic

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Authorities have arrested six people and seized cocaine, oxycodone pills, pot plants and several weapons during a raid at a business pretending to be a medical marijuana dispensary.

Police said Thursday that the search was part of a probe into an interstate drug-trafficking operation allegedly run out of the White Oak Healing Center in Northridge.

The investigation started after the son of the center's owner, 60-year-old Raymond George, was shot in what appeared to be an organized crime-style hit. Police said the investigation led to information that implicated George in the transportation and sale of marijuana and cocaine between Los Angeles and Cleveland.

George along with five others were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of conspiracy to sell cocaine and marijuana. Each is being held on $1.5 million bail.
