Man Arrested With Child Porn, Firearms, Book On How To Seduce Girls

RIVERSIDE (CBS) — A Mira Loma man was behind bars on Wednesday after a tip for from the U.S. Postal Service led police to arrest him on child pornography and weapons charges.

David Richard Weller, 47, was leaving the U.S. Post Office located on the 1400 block of East Holt Blvd. in Ontario on Tuesday morning when police stopped him for a traffic violation.

Weller, who was driving with a suspended license, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Orange County.

Police then searched the vehicle and found DVDs believed to contain child pornography, along with printed materials from the Internet and books with tips on how to seduce and sexually assault a child.

Weller was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga for the outstanding traffic warrant, possession of child pornography and burglary.

He will also be charged for possession of loaded firearms in his vehicle.

The reading materials found in Weller's car raised concerns among police as to why the suspect was also carrying weapons in his car — a sign police said may suggest he intended to use force while carrying out any potential assault.

Detectives are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have on Weller, including any neighborhoods that he may have frequented in his black 1993 Nissan Pathfinder that is missing its rear-mounted spare tire.

The public may contact Detective Ron Watson at (909) 395-2804 or Detective Rudy Lopez at (909) 395-2768.
