Cal Poly Pomona Students Warned Of Sexual Battery Suspect

POMONA (CBS) — Police are searching for a suspect accused of exposing himself to a Cal Poly Pomona employee in a campus restroom .

The attack occurred on July 28 around 12:45 a.m. when a campus custodian was cleaning the men's bathroom located near the school's track.

"She was suddenly cornered by a person . . .then he pushed her against a stall, exposed himself and asked for a sexual favor," Oyen Ma, Cal Poly Pomona spokesperson said.

The suspect later fled the bathroom and the victim was unharmed, officials said.

The suspect is described as an African American man around 40-years-old, 5 foot 10 inches to 6 feet tall and 350 pounds, according to Cal Poly police. The suspect also has three skull tattoos on his chest and his missing his upper right tooth.

Police believe the attack was an isolated incident. A safety bulletin has been issued to students attending summer school.
